"10 Years Later: A Discussion on Islam in America" - UMD MSA

The UMD Muslim Students Association (MSA) has organized an event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Dr. Yasir Qadhi, popular Muslim American writer and intellectual, will host and facilitate a discussion on the status of Islam, Muslims, and interfaith progress in America 10 years after 9/11. Dr. Qadhi received his doctorate in Islamic Studies from Yale University, has published many profound works, and teaches across the world. The topics he will be discussing will "define our generation as Americans.''

The event is titled "10 Years Later: A Discussion on Islam in America" and will take place on:

Friday, September 9th at 4:00pm
Atrium of the Stamp Student Union. 

The topics will range from discussion of the 9/11 attacks, to Muslim peacemakers, to the proper understanding of Shariah law (and its relationship to US law).  This event is co-sponsored by the UMD Interfaith Council & Student Entertainment Events.
