IMPORTANT: The deadline to apply for a Gilman Scholarship is fast approaching - October 4, 2011! Your chances of a successful application are dramatically stronger if you start early and seek advice from the National Scholarships Office.
ELIGIBILITY: To apply for a Gilman Scholarship you must be a US citizen receiving Pell Grants during the semester you plan to study abroad. For the October 4, 2011 deadline you must be planning to apply to Spring 2012 study abroad programs that are at least 4 weeks long - WINTER TERM COURSES ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR GILMAN SCHOLARSHIPS.
