Resident of a Small Rural Community or Inner City Area? The Montgomery Family Scholarship Might Be Yours!

In recognition of Dr. Edward Montgomery, a scholarship award for a driven behavioral and social science student, of junior status, who demonstrates financial need, is a resident of either an inner city or a small rural community and is academically high achieving. Preference shall be given to first generation college students and those who participate in a meaningful extracurricular or non-regular classroom experience. For more information, click here.

Students are only eligible to apply if they meet the follow criteria:
Must possess 3.25 or higher cumulative grade point average (GPA)
Must possess a minimum of 60 credits by August 30, 2011
Must be a full-time, degree-seeking student at the University of Maryland, College Park
Must be registered for a minimum of 15 credits during the Fall 2011 semester
Must be a declared behavioral and social science major prior to September 13, 2011
Must not graduate before December 2012

Must be in good judicial standing. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is January 15th, 2012.
