This program allows employers to serve as "career advisors" to students seeking help. Employers participate in our daily rotation by providing career advice to students, in a 1-on-1 setting, on issues ranging from resume assistance to answering the question "how do I get a job like yours?” Come learn about ways you can improve your skills and get feedback from industry professionals about what they look for in a candidate.

Services Provided Include: Resume Critiques, Mock Interview, Informational Interview, Telling Your Story

White House Internship Program: Employer Networking and Information Session

The White House Internship Program provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable professional experience and build leadership skills. This hands-on program is designed to mentor and cultivate today’s young leaders, strengthen their understanding of the Executive Office and prepare them for future public service opportunities. The White House Internship Program’s mission is to make the “People’s House” accessible to future leaders from around the nation. The application period for the Fall 2012 White House Internship Program is now open. Applicants have until April 1, 2012 to apply for a Fall 2012 White House Internship. Geography Career and Internship Fair 2012

To aid geography majors in searches for career or internship opportunities, the Geography Advising Office and the University Career Center & The President's Promise sponsor a Job and Internship Fair every semester. Local governmental and private organizations who are specifically looking for potential employees with geographic skills attend.

Meet with Volunteer Maryland: Employer in Residence Program

This program allows employers to serve as "career advisors" to students seeking help. Employers participate in our daily rotation by providing career advice to students, in a 1-on-1 setting, on issues ranging from resume assistance to answering the question "how do I get a job like yours?” Online registration in advance is the best way to be sure you are seen at your preferred time (you can choose a 30 minute slot based on availability). However, we will take same-day walk-ins on a first come, first serve basis to fill any empty slots. There is no guarantee that you will be able to walk in and be seen at that time.
