Internship Opportunities @ CAPC. Apply Now!

Internship Opportunities with CAPC

Applications are currently being accepted from undergraduate students of all majors for the Maryland Internship Program’s Summer 2013 Session (deadline April 8, 2013). To apply visit:http://www.capc.umd.edu/intern.asp

The Center for American Politics and Citizenship (CAPC) coordinates many exciting opportunities for students interested in Government and Politics. A past participant in the Maryland Internship Program (MIP) had this to say:

"MIP helped place me at the Maryland State Department of Education's Division of Academic Policy. My favorite part of the internship was sitting in on important meetings and observing the policy-making process first-hand, especially the development of Maryland's new Teacher and Principal Evaluation system. My mentor really helped me understand the background and political factors of each project that came into our office. MIP helped me realize my interest in state-level politics and clarify my future career goals."

CAPC and the Department of Government and Politics offer three exciting internship programs to help University of Maryland undergraduates gain real-world experience in government and public policy, coupled with classroom training: the Maryland Internship Program (MIP), Capitol Hill Internship Program (CHIP), and Public Policy Internship Program (PPIP). You will have the opportunity to intern in federal, state and local government offices and agencies for a semester, earning course credit and valuable experience.
