Opportunity to Participate in Research on Vaccines!

Tell us what you think! The Maryland Center for Health Equity is trying to learn more about what you think about flu vaccines and vaccines for other illnesses. The project aims to understand why some people are less likely to get routine vaccinations (such as for seasonal flu) or vaccinations in an emergency situation (a pandemic of a new influenza virus). We want to hear from black/African descent and white people who were born in the U.S., speak English and are over 18. You will be asked to join a 90 minute group discussion and will be paid $50 for your time. We will NOT be giving vaccines. We will serve light snacks.

The Principal Investigator for this study is Dr. Sandra C. Quinn, senior associate director, Maryland Center for Health Equity. If you are interested in participating or have any questions about the study, please contact Leah Curran, Study Coordinator at the Maryland Center for Health Equity at 301-405-1464 or vaccinestudy@umd.edu.

This study is approved by the University of Maryland Institutional Review Board (IRBNET ID: 367080).
