INTERNSHIP WORKSHOP SERIES: Congressional Internships, Presented by UMD alumnus Scott Baker
Wednesday, March 13, 2013 • 4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

Mr. Scott Baker is a University of Maryland College Park alumnus. He served as a congressional staff member for 13 years and was the Washington Internship Coordinator to former U.S. Congressman Chet Edwards of Waco, Texas from 2003 to 2011. In this session, Mr. Baker will provide students a better understanding of how to research and apply to congressional internships. He will also give insight on how to best develop your resume, cover letter and writing samples to stand out amongst the competition.

Southwest Airlines: Employer Networking Sessions

Southwest Airlines is now recruiting for Fall 2013 Internships.

Internships are paid and include free space available flight benefits on Southwest. We also have a casual dress code as well.

Our “No Limits” Internship Program gives students quality real-world experience, an insider’s glance into this fascinating industry, and is guaranteed to be a FUN semester! The goal of the “No Limits” Internship is to provide Interns with interactive learning opportunities and hands-on business experience. Each Intern will be exposed to practical workplace skills needed for his/her business field. The Intern will be able to validate his/her career decisions through this opportunity to apply classroom knowledge.
