Panel of BSOS Students Answer Your Internship Questions & Give Advice! Don't Miss This!

Location: University Career Center & The President's Promise (3100 Hornbake Library, South Wing)

Event Details:
· Are you an out-of state BSOS student wondering how to find a summer internship in your home state?
· Are you too shy to address a question to a panelist when all eyes are on you?
· Have you had trouble setting up a search agent in Careers4Terps?  Would you appreciate assistance from a professional?
· Would you like to learn where BSOS students have interned in the past in fields far beyond their majors?
· Are you interested in hearing more about the benefits of internships and gaining valuable tips on how to find and apply for internships?
· Would you like the opportunity to talk one-on-one with a BSOS student who has internship experience, or speed network and talk to six?
· This event is for you! All student presenters are BSOS majors!

Six BSOS students who have interned in Maryland, Washington, D.C, New York City and Connecticut will be available to chat with their fellow students one-on-one in an informal setting.  Two program directors will be available to help you navigate the University Career Center & The President’s Promise website and introduce you to the many resources available to you as a BSOS students.  The BSOS Internship Coordinator will answer your questions about where other students have interned in the past and are interning currently.  Come for ten minutes and just talk to one person, or stay the whole hour and talk to them all!

Student Presenters have had successful internships in a broad array of organizations including:
· The Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History
· TV Guide Magazine
· Becky’s Fund
· Maryland General Assembly
· Clifford Beers Guidance Clinic
· James R Clarke Physical Therapy
