The Pardee Undergraduate Studies Scholarship was established in December 2007 by Katherine "Kit" Pardee '77 to provide scholarships to undergraduate students that have demonstrated consistent involvement in campus activities, are in good academic standing and have demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to first-generation college attendees.
Kit Pardee graduated with a Bachelor's degree in General Studies. Her field of academic interest was in Women's Studies. During her time at Maryland, Pardee was a member of the University's women's field hockey and basketball teams. While at Maryland she became keenly aware of the challenges of achieving at a high level academically while also being involved in campus activities that enhance a student’s college experience. Several years after graduating from Maryland, Kit earned her Juris Doctor from the Catholic University of America.
