LCSL Alternative Summer Weekends

Presented by the Stamp Summer Leadership Series, Alternative Weekends provide an "Alternative Break" experience for one weekend during the summer.

Students will travel to one of three regional sites to explore and take action on a pressing social issue. All trips take place the weekend of Friday, July 18th to Sunday, July 20th. Participation is FREE! Registration includes meals, materials, and transportation.

For best consideration, register by June 30th. Final registration deadline is July 7th. For more information and to register, visit www.thestamp.umd.edu/lcsl.

Alternative Weekend participants choose from the following experiences:

  • Spend a weekend on the water exploring bay conservation with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
  • Learn about the issue of food security with the Claggett Farm in Upper Marlboro.
  • Experience the impact of socioeconomic equity with Christopher Place in Baltimore.
