The Maryland Center for Undergraduate Research is offering presentations for humanities and social sciences majors interested in learning how to communicate their research effectively using the Poster format. The workshops will cover principles of good poster design, organization of information, and strategies for printing and presenting your poster.
Knowing how to present research effectively is an important skill for undergraduates that may be applied to future academic and professional experiences. This workshop should also be helpful to students planning to participate in Undergraduate Research Day, which will be held on campus on April 29, 2015.
Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Poster Workshop” and the date/time you wish to attend. Workshops will take place in the MCUR office, 2100D McKeldin Library, across from the Learning Commons. More information can be found on the MCUR website at http://www.ugresearch.umd.edu/researchposter.php.
