Wednesday, March 25, 2015 • 4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
University Career Center & The President’s Promise (3rd Floor Hornbake Library, South Wing)
What are your top skills? Do you have an elevator pitch ready to go? Attend this Lab to identify your top skills through a self-directed skills inventory, develop a 30-second pitch, and evaluate how it could be altered based on the situation (used at a career fair, in a cover letter, at networking events, cold calling for an internship position, etc.).
Career outcome: students will leave with a 30-second pitch, be able to answer the question "why should I hire you", knowledge of what to highlight in their cover letters, and be able to list their top 10 skills and abilities.
This event is part of the BSOS Career Lab for students in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences.
