A profound researcher and scholar in the field of Sociology and Race, Dr. Ray is the author of the book Race and Ethnic Relations in the Twenty-First Century, and is a researcher in the field of racial stratification, self-evaluation of social class and men’s treatment of women. He is currently teaching the course Sociology 224, “Why are We Still Talking About Race,” and is a major part of the teach-ins as sponsored by the University of Maryland’s branch of the Black Lives Matter Movement.
