Full Time Marketing & Communications Associate Position with U.S. Soccer Foundation

Marketing & Communication Associate Job Duties:

• Maintain the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s social media portfolio, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google+; responsible for content/campaign creation, community engagement and growth, and data tracking/reporting
• Coordinate social media efforts and campaigns with Soccer for Success partners, including coaches and administrators
• Ensure timely and relevant engagement with Foundation partners, sponsors, grantees, donors, etc.
• Provide social media guidance (including prepared tweets/posts) to Foundation staff
• Maintain the Foundation’s blog; responsible for content collection/creation, editorial calendar, ghostwriting, publication, and promotion
• Maintain the Foundation’s email marketing campaigns, from conception to implementation; responsible for subscriber recruitment and list segmentation
• Serve as Foundation day-to-day point of contact for U.S. Soccer Foundation Ambassador program
• Assist in creating marketing collateral for the Foundation, including but not limited to annual reports, program one-pagers, event signage, and promotional materials
• Assist with branding for national programs, including Soccer for Success, Passback, and Safe Places to Play;
• Copywriting, including but not limited to drafting press releases and talking points
• Copyediting for all Foundation departments – heavy emphasis on Marketing & Communications materials, grant applications, Spring/Year-End Campaign, and Programs reports/documentation
• Serve as marketing & communications point for Foundation events which includes social media, branding, and day-of event support.
• Responsible for execution of marketing-focused Foundation events
• Assist with partnership/sponsorship fulfillment
• Assist in prospecting and securing thought leadership opportunities for senior management; includes strategic positioning via social media, blog, etc.
• Additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of full-time marketing experience or substantial part-time marketing experience
• Strong writing skills
• Social media experience preferred
• High level of proficiency with website content management systems, email clients, and social media platforms
• Experience with Adobe a plus
• Must possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic and model a mature and professional demeanor
• Ability to take initiative, multitask and prioritize
• Ability to think critically and analytically
• Self-motivated with a high level of energy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced non-profit environment
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred

Salary: Commensurate with Experience
