Marketing Coordinator Position with Advisory Board Company Appropriate for Graduating Senior

The Role in Brief:
As an integral team member, the Coordinator will gain experience and expertise within the Marketing Department on strategy and operations. The Coordinator will serve an important role both internally and externally as a liaison, information resource and key point of contact. Our current opportunity is based in Washington, DC.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate internal meetings related to marketing strategy and operations
  • Act as internal and external liaison for several departments in the firm, serving as a representative of the leadership team
  • Maintain calendars, schedule internal meetings and arrange appointments
  • Handle confidential documents and other communications with absolute discretion
  • Coordinate travel and itineraries
  • Schedule and coordinate high-level marketing visits at national meetings and member hospitals
  • Prepare team members for visits with trip preparation and market research
  • Prepare proposals and letters of agreement
  • Assist team with tracking key performance metrics
  • Act as a liaison and information resource to Member Services
  • Be “on-call” during out of town meetings as an internal contact for those at the meeting
  • Assist Chief of Staff with marketing campaigns
  • Assist the leadership team with collateral creation
  • Coordinate special events
  • Special projects as necessary and appropriate
  • Other administrative duties as needed
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Excellent academic record
  • Must possess at least two of the following:
  • Leadership experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Experience in an office setting
Ideal Qualifications:
  • Experience developing personal organization tactics to meet business goals
  • Proven experience managing multiple, competing priorities
  • Ability to take initiative on projects
  • Ability to communicate by e-mail and phone with internal and external clients
  • Ability to provide objective upward feedback to managers
  • Proven experience handling confidential information
  • Attention to detail
