The NCRC Housing Rehab Fund, an NCRC subsidiary, is the investment vehicle that will be carrying out the GROWTH Initiative across the country with asset management services (from acquisition to renovation, property management and disposition) performed by a third party vendor. The intern will be an integral member of the team working on the implementation of GROWTH and will assist the Fund by providing:
- Market research/analyses
- Maps that show locations of acquired properties and properties the fund is underwriting
- Financial analyses/modeling for the Fund (year-over-year and, perhaps, more granular by investor or by market)
- Evaluation criteria and/or tracking of outcomes so Fund can demonstrate CRA benefit to investors and report on positive outcomes to investors and others on a regular basis.
- Monitoring progress of GROWTH in delivering on promises to investors and local political and community-based organizations.
The ideal candidate will have strong financial analysis/modeling skills with an interest in growing his/her real estate portfolio/asset management skills in the single-family arena. Passion for economic justice and an interest in working in low- and moderate-income communities on behalf of low- and moderate-income families are a plus.
