The mission of the World Learning Exchange and Training Unit (ETU) is to bridge cultures and promote citizen diplomacy and understanding across nations. World Learning pursues this mission through the design and delivery of customized adult and student exchanges and observational study tours. Interns work closely with ETU program teams on design, implementation, and monitoring of programs for participants from more than 140 countries visiting the U.S. under grants from the U.S. Department of State.
Program Intern Position
Individuals with a career interest in international affairs are recruited year-round for internship positions. Some interns receive academic credit for their internships. Interns will work with the Innovation and Development Team on short term exchange implementation.
Intern candidates must have international travel/work experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Office is required. Candidates should be highly organized with strong ability to multi-task. Foreign language and website development skills are a plus. A completed undergraduate degree in an international field or substantial work toward the degree required.
Start date: June 8, 2015 (Negotiable)
Compensation: $9.50/hour for 32-40 hours per week
Part time schedules or flexible volunteer hours may also be available.
Duration: 3 months with the possibility of an extension
