AECOM Paid Fall International Development Internship

AECOM has an opportunity for an intern to join the AID Program in the Arlington, VA office location. AECOM’s Government Services’ division, AECOM International Development (AID), is currently seeking an intern. This is a full-time (40 hour) paid position based in Arlington, Virginia. This position will report to the Senior Project Manager. The intern will support training and capacity development activities. The internship will provide experience with elements of development project management and proposal preparation. Qualified candidates for this internship should be able to work five (5) days a week (minimum 40 hours).

  • An undergraduate degree in an international field completed by 2015 is required and a Masters degree completed by 2016 is highly desirable.
  • Office work experience and strong computer skills, including Excel.
  • Strong cross-cultural, communication, time-management, and organizational skill.
  • Solid research skills and ability to analyze and write report.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational ability.
  • Strong computer skills – particularly in MS Office including document formatting, chart and graph creation and spreadsheet / budget creation.
  • Strong English writing and editing skills.

  • Prior work experience in international development strongly preferred.
  • Foreign language skills in either French, Spanish or Arabic strongly preferred.
  • International travel and cross cultural experience desired.
