Fall Internships with the National Alliance on Mental Illness

The NAMI Education team is looking for computer-savvy, creative and dedicated interns to assist with a variety of projects key to the success of our NAMI signature education programs.

Interns will have the opportunity to work on a multi-disciplinary team that supports classes, presentations and support groups for individuals living with mental illness as well as their loved ones. They will learn about non-profit development, peer-led mental health programs and the technical skills needed to support them.

Specific duties include developing web content from NAMI program materials, updating existing presentations/documents/online resources, and supporting training and convention planning.

NAMI is the largest grassroots organization focused on improving the lives of millions of Americans affected by mental illness. The NAMI Education, Training and Peer Support Center supports ten signature programs that are offered throughout the United States with limited programing in Canada, Mexico and Italy.

Internships are unpaid but metro benefits are provided. The majority of the work will be on-site at the NAMI Office in Arlington, VA, Monday through Friday. Actual days and times are flexible to meet the intern's schedule. Metro and handicapped accessible.
