Project/Account Coordinator Position for Recent Grad with Rock Creek Strategic Marketing

The Project Coordinator (PC) serves in a support capacity on the Project Management Team. CHIEF PCs assist project managers (PMs) through a variety of activities as determined and prioritized by PMs. PCs aspire to develop careers in the project management field and to grow in their role within CHIEF. Through their support role, PCs gain a foundation of knowledge and skill sets in the project/account management discipline and acquire the required experience to become CHIEF Project Managers. CHIEF PCs are responsible for managing project activities and supporting execution of project management deliverables under the direction of project managers and/or the Director of Project Management. Additionally, PCs support the goals and initiatives of the Project Management Team. Responsibilities include full project/account management support, including status reporting, billing, budget tracking, Quality Assurance (QA), and communications management with internal project team members, clients, third-party vendors and other stakeholders, as well as administrative support. Reports to Director, Project Management


  • Provide support in developing and delivering full-scale project plans, progress reports, and other documentation to clients and internal project teams
  • Develop timely and accurate project status reports, burn reports, and other project reporting requirements
  • Draft scope statements, hours estimates, and subcontracts
  • Attend project meetings and draft meetings notes and recaps
  • Liaise with internal project team members, project stakeholders, and clients on an ongoing basis
  • Effectively communicate project status and any challenges or issues arising in a timely and clear fashion to project manager providing project oversight
  • Conduct project closeout summaries and create recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Coordinate with Accounting Manager for invoicing and billing
  • Support initiatives of Project Management Team
  • Other duties as requested and required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
