Research Internship with Solar Electric Power Association

The Research Intern will provide support to the organization's Research Department and Utility Programs & Planning Department.

The ideal candidate will have superior Microsoft Office and web research skills, be well organized, and possess excellent communication skills. Interest in working in the renewable energy field following graduation and knowledge of the electric utility industry is a plus.

  • • Support development of SEPA resources & publications, including: 
  • • Data collection for Utility Solar Database 
  • • Develop Utility Solar case studies 
  • • Create presentation materials using SEPA datasets
  • • Support content development for bi-weekly newsletter 
  • • Update and streamline Resource Library on SEPA website 
  • • Assist in responding to research requests for members 
  • • Conduct data analysis to support Research and/or Utility Programs & Planning projects
  • • Perform quantitative analysis
  • • Other tasks as assigned 


  • • Applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field. 
  • • Experience using the Google platform
  • • Excellent attention to detail
