Maryland-in-London offers you the opportunity to incorporate study abroad into your four-year plan, ensuring your time in the UK keeps you on track for graduation. Highlights for BSOS students include ‘British Politics’, ‘Social Anthropology of Britain’ and ‘UK Economy and Financial System’. You’ll examine the human condition; consider whether the UK and the US really do have a special relationship; and participate in exciting field trips and co-curricular activities that complement the area of study. You can also opt for classes in Art History, English Literature, History, and Theatre.
The program encourages students to engage with local people
and culture. In addition to Maryland courses, you may take one class with
British students at the prestigious local partner institution, Queen Mary
University of London (QMUL). QMUL is ranked in the top 10 of UK universities
and it has over 150 courses on offer in a variety of subjects including
Economics, Environmental Science and Policy, Geography, Government and
Politics, and Psychology.
