Membership Administrator Manager with US-China Business Council for Recent Grad

The US-China Business Council (USCBC, seeks a membership administration manager for a full-time position reporting to the VP, Finance and Administration. USCBC is a private, nonprofit, membership association that represents US corporations that do business with China.
The primary function of the Membership Administration Manager is to manage all aspects of member services including but not limited to member recruitment, member retention and customer relationship management (CRM) administration. This role has significant interaction with members, prospects and staff.
  • Serve as first point of contact for members and prospects for applications and billings
  • Guide member applicants through the application and onboarding process
  • Maintain and update CRM system on a daily basis, including member companies, contacts, events and activities, and coordinate with staff to keep records current
  • Coordinate dues billing process including generating invoices, tracking payments, sending follow-up notices, reconciling payments with accounting, etc.
  • Prepare monthly membership retention reports for staff as well as other reports as needed
  • Coordinate with Communications Department to maintain accuracy of membership information
  • Develop prospect lists and information for recruitment activities
  • Respond to staff requests for membership information and work with staff from all offices
  • Inform staff on membership activities
  • Maintain member files and ensure that all member records are updated in a timely manner
  • Provide backup support to Administration and other departments as needed
  • Provide general support to the VP, Finance and Administration including light bookkeeping
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience working with database, particularly with CRM
  • Prior experience with upgrading CRM software preferred
  • Knowledge of member services function and membership recruitment/retention activities
  • Prior bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent, articulate, personable and diplomatic customer service skills
  • Great organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Superior critical thinking and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work in a team-based, collaborative environment
