The Fund for the Public Interest is a national non-profit group that runs grassroots advocacy campaigns for some of the top progressive groups in the country, like USPIRG, Environment America and the Human Rights Campaign. Over the last 30 years, we’ve helped over 40 organizations widen their base of support and win on the most critical environmental and social justice issues. Over the years, our state and national summer campaigns have been extremely successful. Our canvassers have gathered more than 20 million petition signatures, and we’ve raised more than $500 million to help these groups win their campaigns.
We’ll be interviewing people for summer jobs in citizen outreach offices in over fifty offices across the country this summer. The job includes team-building and staff management, fundraising, and other types of political organizing. This is a great opportunity for students who may want to do something in the non-profit world, gaining communication experience and making a big impact while also making money.
