Market Research Internship with Atlantic Media beginning in March

Job Description
Government Business Council (GBC), the research arm of Government Executive Media Group, is seeking an entrepreneurial, innovative, and driven intern to begin in March. S/he will be responsible for supporting market intelligence efforts on behalf of our blue-chip client base. The majority of the intern’s time will focus on supporting the team’s web-based survey work, but qualitative and secondary research tasks may also be assigned. Candidate must have at least intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities Include:Survey execution:
Draft, edit, schedule, and deploy email blasts for market research surveys
Make updates to surveys while in field
Track responses and trends and report up on progress
Offer recommendations to supervisor for meeting response rate goals
After results are collected, contribute to preliminary analysis by drafting high level summaries of data
Proofing final reports for clarity and accuracy
Additional duties as needed, including supporting qualitative research engagements (interviews, focus groups) and conducting secondary research

Required Attributes:
Basic familiarity with market research techniques
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong time management skills
At least intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills

Additional Preferred Attributes:
Familiarity with Qualtrics, Vovici, or other web-based survey tools
Experience conducting surveys and/or qualitative research interviews
Knowledge of basic HTML/CSS
