Location: Nyumburu Cultural Center Multipurpose Room
2016 Diversity Professional Preparation Series Event
Did you know a job offer can be lost over how you talk and eat with a prospective employer? As a UMD diverse, talented student do not let this be the reason for your rejection.
Come learn to navigate a professional meal with key tips regarding not only dinner place settings and utensil use, but also the art of dinner conversation.
Our presenter, Sharon-Frances “Shances” Moore (UMD alum-history major), is an etiquette coach with over 20 years of experience working with government and corporate clients. A successful development executive at Viacom/BET Networks, she knows what can be a deal breaker when it comes to making a good impression.
On Monday, March 21, 2016, the University Career Center & The President’s Promise will offer this special presentation and dinner. Seating is limited. Hurry and RSVP by March 11, 2016.
This event is FREE! Click here to RSVP! (http://www.careers.umd.edu/events_description.cfm?event_id=5816)
(Note: Once you have reserved a space for dinner, if you “no show” your student account will be charged $27 for the cost of the meal.)
