Academic Program Assistant American University

This position coordinates activities for School of Communication (SOC) academic divisions
and associated programs within the school.

Educational Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in training or experience.

Minimum Requirements:
  •  At least two years of administrative/ executive support experience
  • Superior writing ability and oral communication skills
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills, including extensive experience with spreadsheets, database, Blackboard, and other software application programs
  • Knowledge of the Internet
  • Strong customer-oriented focus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and as a member of a collaborative team
