PACCR reviews and interprets health care reform legislation (such as, the Affordable Care Act, Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act, and Improving Medicare Post-Acute Care Transformation Act) for health care providers and stakeholders. PACCR is on the cutting edge of evolving Medicare payment policies. The intern will have primary responsibility for legislative, regulatory, and subregulatory policy research and analysis. The intern will also attend workgroup meetings, Congressional briefings, MedPAC meetings, and consult with PACCR members and faculty.
The intern will work as a part of a small team, and perform an integral role in monitoring health care reform and rapidly informing key stakeholders.
The intern will produce policy briefs, regulatory summaries, comment letters, and presentations.
Bachelor’s degree. Some graduate education is preferred. Great writing, research, and time management skills are necessary.
The PACCR internship is a paid position, and compensation depends on experience.
