Summer Human Resources Internships with SECU

SECU, Maryland's largest credit union, has openings for summer internships.  Internships run for six weeks starting June 6, with the possibility of being extended.  The intern must be able to work up to 32 hours a week during  our core hours of M-F 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

SECU is currently looking for qualified students to join our team as an Intern in our Human Resources Development department.  The intern will have significant learning opportunities on day-to-day projects and gain exposure to the human capital strategy within banking and the industry as a whole. 
The internship program will rotate amongst different functions within human resources, supporting talent management and learning and development projects.  Responsibilities include supporting tasks related to the following human capital initiatives:
  • Organization-wide learning needs assessment
  • Employee climate and engagement
  • Talent Brand and Employment Value Proposition (EVP)


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Junior or Senior, majoring in Human Resources or post-secondary education
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects at a time
  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
  • Highly motivated and energetic with the ability to work on teams
  • Proficiency in Excel and additional MS Office Suite applications
  • GPA =>3.00
