The continued stand-up of this non-profit organization, the National Center for Citizen Safety (NCCSAFE) is now underway and we are promoting public awareness for citizen safety in the event of domestic terrorism, resources for reporting tips, and survivor and victim resources. The stand-up is comprised of advocacy campaigns, social media communications, 5k Survivor Run, creating legislation for mandatory safety drills, and other critical policy, fundraising, and campaigns. NCCSAFE needs a cadre of hard-working volunteers and interns to bring this much needed organization to fruition, with the ultimate intent of obtaining state (and national) recognition and funding.
NCCSAFE is offering unpaid internship/volunteer positions to those serious candidates who are pursuing a degree (or have recently graduated) in an applicable field that will help move this effort forward (such as government & public relations, advertising, communications, marketing, law enforcement, information technology, social work/psychology, etc.).
This internship will be one that should be taken seriously with a 100% commitment. Additional work can be conducted outside of the aforementioned hours via teleworking from your home. Over the last year we have had excellent University of Maryland students who have gained a lot of experience from our internship.
A mandatory kick-off meeting for this internship will take place on at the beginning of February (for Spring) and June (for Summer).
