Program Assistant, Global Programs Center for International Private Enterprise for Recent Grad

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Tracking implementation status and reporting requirements of multiple projects
  • Handling project administration, including invoices, payments, and contracts
  • Assisting in logistics, including event planning and travel arrangements
  • Maintaining physical and electronic program files, contact lists, scheduling for Global department, and event calendars
  • Adhering to appropriate CIPE, NED and USAID policies and procedures
  • Drafting content for the website, quarterly newsletter, or other CIPE publications
  • Drafting, editing, and/or proofreading project proposals and reports
  • Drafting and monitoring project proposals and budgets
  • Writing and editing articles, blogs, policy papers, and other publications
  • Liaison with outside vendors (event, venue, catering, publication)
Additional duties may include:
  • Providing research assistance
  • Organizing working group meetings
  • Web development and video editing


  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of office experience
  • Demonstrated writing, proofreading, and research skills
  • Interest in international development and topics consistent with CIPE’s mission
  • Ability to use advanced features of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, WordPress, and Dreamweaver
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Good financial acumen and ability to assist with project budgets
  • Ability to handle multiple, detail-oriented tasks with limited supervision
  • Foreign language helpful but not required – Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish preferred
  • Prior experience working within a multi-cultural environment
