Administrative Assistant, Democracy Project The Bipartisan Policy Center, for Recent Grad

BPC has an immediate opening for a full-time Administrative Assistant in the Democracy Project.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide primary administrative and clerical support to the Democracy Project
  • Calendar management and scheduling responsibilities
  • Attending project meetings as requested by director and associate director; preparing pre-meeting and post meetings notes and memorandum
  • Providing point of contact support for project staff, contractors, and other contacts for tasks including processing reimbursement requests, booking air and hotel accommodations, and maintaining relationships with members and their assistants.
  • Meeting planning for project related meetings; booking conference rooms; ordering catering; preparing materials, etc.
  • Working with the events team to plan internal and external events
  • Assisting with the ordering, production, construction and shipment of correspondence and materials
  • Data entry and contact management
  • Fielding phone calls and other clerical tasks
  • Providing research assistance to project directors as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Computer skills a must. Experience with and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Previous scheduling experience and the ability to communicate effectively is essential
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Works well independently, and as part of a team
