Adviser - Policy and Advocacy, Global CCS Institute, for Recent Grad
The Global CCS Institute accelerates carbon capture and storage, a vital technology to tackle climate change and provide energy security. We advocate for CCS as a crucial component in a portfolio of technologies required to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We drive the adoption of CCS as quickly and cost effectively as possible by sharing expertise, building capacity and providing advice and support to overcome challenges. Our diverse international Membership comprises governments, global corporations, small companies, research bodies and non–government organisations committed to CCS as an integral part of a low–carbon future.
We are currently looking for an Adviser- Policy and Advocacy to join our Americas team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting to the General Manager – Americas, the Adviser - Policy and Advocacy conducts research and analysis on policy in the Americas region and supports advocacy and communications activities strategies to position CCS as a critical technology in addressing climate change by building a positive media profile for the Institute and the Institute’s Members.
As the Adviser – Policy and Advocacy, you will
Support regional CCS policy and advocacy and communications programs including
Attending conferences and meetings.
Positioning CCS as a critical technology in addressing climate change, and
Promoting the Institute and Member activities,
Analyse energy, climate change and CCS policy issues, trends, implications and opportunities.
Act as relationship manager for a designated group of Members.
You will hold a bachelor degree in public policy, environmental policy, law, business or related field with proven research and analytical skills within a relevant sector. You will also have effective communication and relationship management skills to convey Institute and Member priorities in a clear, concise manner.
Spanish language skills would be a plus but are not essential.
