Climate Advisers is a Washington D.C. based consultancy. We specialize in U.S. climate change policy, international climate change cooperation, global carbon markets, and climate-related forest conservation. Climate Advisers works with philanthropies, think tanks, advocacy groups, international institutions, companies and governments to strengthen climate action.
The Climate Finance Intern will develop financial relationship maps and assist with integrating financial modeling with ecosystem services. The intern will also coordinate administrative duties, and other research tasks, and will be expected to provide clearly defined innovative deliverables in a fast-paced, time constrained process. The position will require attention to detail, excellent record keeping, and efficient allocation of time and resources.
Through this position, the Climate Finance Intern will gain familiarity with climate risk analytics, trends in capital markets, and conservation finance knowledge.
The ideal candidate will be a current student who is: resourceful, highly detail-oriented, and passionate about the development of methods to apply capital market tools to conserve tropical forests. A successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
Proficiency using a Bloomberg Terminal
Deep passion about protecting natural resources
Understanding of financial modeling and understanding of ecosystem services using Microsoft Excel
Excellent research and persuasive writing skills and effective visual storyteller
Ability to understand complex systems and evolving capital markets
A demonstrated interest in supply chains and capital markets
