Paid Events & Special Projects Internship with ONE

The Events & Special Projects Intern will provide general logistics and operational support to the Project Management team. This is a great opportunity for a current undergraduate student enrolled in a with an interest in learning the ins and outs of event and project management. This is a paid internship opportunity based in Washington DC reporting to the Internship Coordinator.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
  • Support the Special Projects and Events Manager in all administrative event preparations
  • Assist with online research and outreach of potential vendors to include cold calls
  • Conduct correspondence with event participants, vendors, and other event stakeholders
  • Assist with the management of relationships and price negotiations with external vendors 
  • Assist with maintaining RSVP lists
  • Handle logistics, set-up, coordinate event volunteers, etc.
  • Help with post event wrap up including but not limited to scheduling wrap-up meetings, thank you letters, reporting, etc.
  • Help manage event supplies.
  • Assist with special projects and administrative duties as needed
  • Support the Special Projects and Events Manager in event production and will serve as onsite staff at most of the events
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
  • Current undergraduate standing with a minimum of sophomore status, OR
  • Recent graduates within 6 months of completing their undergraduate degree.
