Research Assistant Position, Europe and Eurasia Practice McLarty Associates for Recent Grad fluent in German or French

High-profile international strategic advisory firm seeks a bright, resourceful, and energetic individual to be a research assistant in our Europe and Eurasia practice. The ideal candidate is an accomplished researcher, an excellent writer and is exceptionally organized, with an understanding of international politics, economics, business and culture.  He or she should have a strong background, demonstrated interest, and experience living or studying in Europe or Eurasia, as well as fluency in German and/or French. Knowledge of additional European languages is also helpful.
Responsibilities of the position include extensive research of public policy and business issues in the Europe and Eurasia region, as well as global issues such as trade negotiations and multilateral fora. Responsibilities will also include translation; attending and reporting on speeches, panel discussions and policy forums of interest to the firm and clients; and co-coordination of the firm’s internship program.
In addition to excellent organization and communication skills, successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to exercise independent judgment, interact comfortably with senior-level contacts, and collaborate in a team environment. Candidates must also be comfortable multi-tasking and staying organized in a fast-paced atmosphere.
