District Office Internship

Congressman John Sarbanes' Towson District Office has internships available on an ongoing basis each semester. We are currently seeking interns to work with staff performing constituent service and outreach work.

Duties include answering phones, distributing mail, entering data into constituent management system, assisting caseworkers with research and casework, developing and updating reference lists, and long term projects. Opportunities exist to visit our DC office, witness a vote or committee meeting if the House is in session, and tour the Capitol. May attend events outside office with staff members, sit in on staff meetings and meetings with constituents, and represent office at outreach venue with staff. Through public service, will learn how a Congressional District Office works.

This is an unpaid internship, with positions available in the fall, winter, and spring semesters.
