About the Role
The core function of the Academic Team Intern is to work alongside the Academic Team to ensure the quality of the site’s content. Our videos, lesson plans, documents, and practice problems are used tens of thousands of times daily, and it is critical that the teachers and students who count on LearnZillion have an high quality and rewarding experience.
In this role, you will:
Maintain the quality of all resources by repairing, revising, and editing videos, documents, images, and slides
Support the creation and improvement of teacher and student-facing resources such as videos, documents, and presentation slides
Support the academic team in improving production quality and processes over the long term
Review site content proactively to identify areas for improvement
Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (advanced Excel and PowerPoint experience preferred)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Passion for improving public education
“Whatever it takes” attitude
Hunger to learn new skills
Experience creating screencasts
Experience editing video using software such as Camtasia, Final Cut Pro, or similar
This is a paid internship starting at 20 hours per week from August-December, with the possibility to extend beyond, in the LearnZillion office in Washington, DC. Applications accepted until September 30, 2016.
