Paid Research Assistant Intern

We are seeking a Research Assistant Intern to join our Policy, Practice and Systems Change group in Washington, DC as part of a national resource center that provides direct assistance to States, schools, communities, and parents seeking information on the education of children and youth who are considered neglect, delinquent, or at-risk. 

Responsibilities:
• Support project staff in planning and conducting an annual conference in June for state neglected-delinquent coordinators, including reviewing of materials and helping with post-conference activities, including evaluations

• Provide assistance to the technical assistance (TA) team in terms of logging and tracking TA requests and responses, among other help as needed
• Work with the Evaluation team to collect and review data related to project tasks for yearly evaluation report

• Opportunity to assist project tasks where needed, including product development, webinars and data set reviews
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Currently seeking a Bachelor’s Degree in Juvenile Justice, Public Health, Public Policy, Counseling, Education, Special Education, Criminal Justice, Social Sciences, Psychology, or related fields
• Familiarity with and ability to use various programs and software, such as webinar software and TA tracking systems

• Familiarity and ability to use Excel
• Experience in working with datasets a plus
• Good organizational skills

• Strong writing and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
