Study Abroad Opportunity - Winter 2018 India (HLTH)

Make your winter 2018 break a magical and enlightening experience by registering for UMD-Winter: India: East Meets West: Contrasting Public Health Priorities, Pragmatics and Polemics in the US and India (HLTH). This study abroad course provides students with an understanding of public health within a global context while exposing them to the richness of Indian culture, customs, arts, food and people. Activities include an overnight stay on a traditional Kerala houseboat while meandering down local backwaters along with visits to schools, villages, Ayurvedic and Allopathic clinics/hospitals, worksites, and community settings where public health is practiced.

If you are interested in this immersion experience, you must act now since registration ends on June 15.
