Use Lynda.Com or Khan Academy for Free to Learn New Skills or Prep for Grad School

If your summer plans include learning a new, career-enhancing skill, or prepare for graduate school, here are two accessible and manageable options available anytime, anywhere, day or night. Here are two that are free:
  •          Lynda.com - FREE to UMD students, staff and faculty- you can. Check it out at lyndatraining.umd.edu. With the recent merger with LinkedIn, there are now over 6,000 courses for you at your fingertips. Courses include Excel 2016: Advanced Formulas and Functions and Job Hunting for College Grads.  
  •         Khan Academy - “You can learn anything. For free. For everyone. Forever.” To highlight a few options, the Khan Academy offers test prep for the GRE and GMAT. Also available are tools for personal finance management, and numerous interviews with accomplished entrepreneurs.
