Political Advocacy Internship

This summer EML Nonprofit Consulting is looking to collaborate with two part-time interns who will have the opportunity to gain experience in political advocacy – specifically focused on mental health, sex crimes and gun violence

One internship will be specifically focused on mental health/public health issues pertaining to university students. The second internship will be focused on advocacy surrounding sex crimes against children in the state of Maryland and strengthening policies to protect them. Internship work may also include advocacy work to support gun control policies.

Work will include:- Policy brief development
- Website content development
- In-person advocacy meetings
- Talking point development

This part-time internship is unpaid but is a great way to gain first-hand experience in Federal and State legislative advocacy. Hours can be flexible, and work can performed from home.

EML Nonprofit Consulting is founded and led by College Park Scholar/UMD Alum/BSOS Alumni Chapter President Ilana Cohen, who will serve as mentor to interns.
