Primary Election Day in Maryland is June 26. Here's What You Need to Know

The Maryland Gubernatorial PRIMARY Election is a "closed" election. This means that the ballot given to you will reflect the party affiliation you selected when you registered to vote. Your party affiliation does not mean that you are a dues-paying party member, but means you prefer to participate in a particular party’s primary election. Party affiliation may be changed by a voter; it is not set in stone. This year’s deadline for party-affiliation change, or new-voter, on-line registration is June 5 at 9:00 p.m.
