The Choice Program College Night Application

Position Titles:
Service Learning Intern (4-6 hours per week)
Service Learning Volunteer (2-3 hours per week)

Position Descriptions:
Service Learning Intern (1 position available)- Oversight of the Choice College Night Program,
including:
 Direct oversight of volunteers
 Acting as a point of contact for the Choice Program
 Serving as a liaison between The Choice Program and volunteers
 Supporting and ensuring all volunteers have received background checks prior to
interacting with the youth
 Holding volunteers accountable to attendance and dress code policies and ethics and
confidentiality agreements
 Coordinating with volunteers to create and implement educational and recreational
activities for the youth
 Ensuring the safety of youth and volunteers during program hours
 Facilitating reflection sessions at the end of each program evening
 Other duties as assigned
 Compensation: $500 stipend to be paid at the end of the semester

Service Learning Volunteer (10 positions available)- Responsibilities Include:
 Providing one-on-one mentoring on designated campus College Nights
 Monitoring and participating in recreational activities after the mentoring hour
 Abide by attendance policies regarding absences or late arrivals
 Availability for contact via email or phone regarding announcements and changes to
College Night schedule
 Thinking outside of the box to make College Night a fun experience
