Virtual Service Opportunity--Smithsonian Digital Volunteer

With service-learning at the center of what we do here at LCSL, we took the initiative to find virtual opportunities for our community to stay involved during such unprecedented times. This week we are highlighting an opportunity with the Smithsonian to be a digital volunteer at their Transcription Center. You can help make historical documents and biodiversity data more accessible by becoming a “volun-peer.” There are hundreds of different projects from Women’s History to the Freedmen's Bureau Records, so you can work on a project that aligns with your passions and interests. This is your chance to learn more about the experiences of our nation’s history and engage in meaningful community-service. Some require language expertise.
