Digital Democracy Associate Position for Recent Grad with International Republican Institute

The Digital Democracy Associate is an entry level position that provides administrative and programmatic support to the Digital Democracy team within the Center for Global Impact.
Undergraduate degree in political science, international relations or related field.
0-1 year of experience in democratic governance, technology, digital media or international development.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
Excellent writing, research and communication skills.
Experience working with USG-funded projects, including relevant OMB rules and regulations is preferred
Primary Functions & Responsibilities:
Tracks and follows-up on pending procurement requests, approvals and monitoring once approved, including processing payments
Compiles and facilitates submission of contract packages
Provides technical assistance and support, including research support, to the Digital Democracy team
Collects, complies, and analyzes information relevant to Digital Democracy programs and projects
Assist in monitoring project spending and projecting costs
Ensures that Accounting requests are submitted correctly per IRI policy and procedure, and that requests are accompanied by appropriate back-up documentation
Ensures compliance with internal and external regulations
Serves as point of contact for RFP solicitations and compiles submitted materials for the RFP evaluation process
Drafts quarterly, semi-annual, final and other relevant reports for funders
Edit and summarize weekly reports for internal and funder audiences
Updates program databases, contract trackers, etc.
Compiles briefing books for trainers
Maintains project site and documents
Provides logistical support for DC meetings and events for the Digital Democracy team
Supports IRI’s communication strategy including IRI’s branding and outreach plans on projects assigned, including drafts and updates program summaries and other outreach materials, drafts web stories, tweets, etc.
Assists with program monitoring and evaluation (M&E), including participating in regular M&E calls, tracking compliance with Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Plan, and identifying where adjustments need to be made
Participates in program design and strategy brainstorming sessions
Participates in business development, such as in writing proposal portions and drafting budgets
Participates in cross functional teams and initiatives (optional)
Performs other duties as assigned.
