Program Coordinator Job for Recent Grad with SHE's GREAT!, Youth Practice International Research and Exchanges Board

Position description

IREX seeks a Program Coordinator for its Youth Practice to provide support to the SHE’s GREAT! program, a holistic, community-based, gender-transformative program for boys and girls which seeks to identify and transform gender stereotypes and build inclusive communities where students are equipped with the networks, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts/Design, and Math (STEAM) training, confidence, and leadership skills to fully participate in their communities and careers. The Program Coordinator will provide strategic and administrative support in the day-to-day management of program activities, including financial monitoring, logistics support, implementation of program initiatives, grants management, liaison between field and home office staff, and communicating with partner organizations on issues ranging from program design to financial accountability.

Your Background & Skills
Required Skills and Experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree related to international development, global affairs, gender, youth development, education, or a related field;
  • 2 + years of work experience work; may include a combination of part-time, internships, etc.;
  • Demonstrated commitment to gender and youth programming in international development;
  • Experience with interdisciplinary instructional design, curriculum development, lesson planning, and/or online learning;
  • Familiarity with instructional and teaching best practices;
  • Proven experience managing multiple administrative tasks in a demanding, time sensitive work environment;
  • Ability to synthesize information and draft internal and external facing reports and documents;
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products, including and especially Excel;
  • Clear, succinct and compelling communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Outstanding interpersonal and intercultural skills;
  • Very strong time management, multitasking, and organizational skills;
  • Familiarity with U.S. Department of State grants and regulations, preferred;
  • Experience teaching, facilitating ,or co-facilitating in a training and/or educational environment, preferred.
Your Daily Tasks
  • Provide programmatic, financial, and administrative support for country-based gender programming in Kyrgyzstan, Jordan, the Republic of Georgia, Saint Lucia, Ethiopia, and Indonesia;
  • Contribute to the program’s communication efforts, including social media, success stories, and program reports;
  • Support subaward procurement, negotiation, and management across all SHE’s GREAT! countries;
  • Contribute to the development and facilitation of online learning modules;
  • Provide logistic support for all program needs, may include event planning, travel arrangements, schedule meetings, and coordination of country and global traveletc;
  • Contribute to program monitoring, evaluation, learning, and data management efforts, as required; and
  • Accurately perform financial administration tasks (check requests, sub-award approval level, procurements, vendor Requests For Proposals, etc).
