COVID-19 and the Carceral System- The Petey Greene Program at UMD

During this event on Thursday March 11th from 6-7pm the Petey Greene Program at UMD will host a guest speaker to discuss the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on incarcerated individuals.

Claire Glenn is a Prince George's County assistant public defender who was
involved in the Gasping for Justice campaign which worked to raise awareness
about the COVID-19 outbreak that occurred in the P.G. County Jail. During
this hour-long event, Claire Glenn will share about the Gasping for Justice
campaign, her involvement, and the impact she has seen the pandemic have on
her clients and the carceral system as a whole. We will also touch on things
such as 23 hour lockdowns, lack of PPE, vaccination plans, and more.
