Hello! My name is Shreya Vuttaluru and I am a junior dual degree candidate in Journalism and Government and Politics with a minor in Geographic Information Science. This is my third semester on DSAC—I previously served as the Vice-chair of Student Services, and I am so honored to be serving as Chair this year. My main goal as DSAC Chair is to provide outreach to students and make sure that students, particularly from underrepresented groups, are getting what they need from the college. Outside of DSAC, I am a staff reporter for The Diamondback, a web intern for the College Park Here & Now, and I work Eppley Recreation Center, where I work as a Lead Swim Instructor. I also am one of the Hospitality Directors for Maryland Minza, a student-run Bollywood-fusion dance competition. Hi everyone! My name is Cynthia Eapen and I am a senior majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a Law and Society minor. This is my third semester on the council and I will be serving as the CCJS Representative. At UMD, I am an honor council member of the University Student Judiciary and a brother of Phi Alpha Delta. I’m looking forward to working with DSAC to enhance the student experience in BSOS. Hi! My name is Elli Nikolopoulos, and I am a senior pursuing a dual degree in Government & Politics and Public Policy with a minor in Statistics. This is my second year on DSAC, and I am so excited to serve as the Living & Learning Representative and the Vice-Chair of Student Services! I really want to make sure BSOS is a welcoming place where everyone feels supported and represented. Outside of DSAC, I am an Honors Ambassador, a member of the University Honors Student Board, and the Secretary for an on-campus organization called Ignite. My name is Victoria Hix and I am a junior psychology major with a human development minor. This is my second year on DSAC, and I’m honored to serve as your psychology representative as well as the vice-chair of the programming committee. Kassidy Jacobs

I am a junior majoring in Government & Politics and Criminal Justice, from Baltimore, Maryland. On DSAC, I am the UMD Senate representative. On campus, I am involved with Terps for Change where I work to address educational disparities for low-income and immigrant communities. I also chair the Student Affairs Committee within the UMD Senate. Off campus, I am interning at Rising for Justice, a nonprofit legal organization which provides free legal advice and services to low income residents in D.C. I am also interning at the U.S Department of State, helping to create the second edition of Profiles in Courage by President John F. Kennedy. I am passionate about advocacy, volunteering & social change. During my time in DSAC, I hope to focus on advocacy for first-generation and low-income students within the college. Justin Fox

This is my first year serving on the council and I am very proud to be the GVPT representative! In addition to the council I am also involved with Maryland Mentor Corps as a team leader, I'm a member of a student conduct organization called the University Student Judiciary, I’m a cadet within Army ROTC, I'm a Resident Assistant at Cumberland Hall, and I am a member of the GVPT Department Honors Program. Hello! My name is Laniya Davidson, and I am a sophomore majoring in Economics (BS) with a Spanish minor. This is my first year on the council, and I am very excited to be serving as the Economics representative. Aside from DSAC, I’m a part of the Maryland Mock Trial team and a member of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-law fraternity. I’m also in House Eltanin in the University Honors program. Robynn Ashenden

Hi, my name is Robynn Ashenden and I am currently a senior pursuing a double degree in Anthropology and General Biology. I am thrilled to be serving my first year on DSAC as the ANTH Representative! Apart from DSAC, I work as a weight/fitness supervisor at Eppley and am part of the club Student Stem Art Appreciation (SSAA). I am also a Science, Discovery, and the Universe Scholar’s Program alum and have worked as an undergraduate research assistant in the Historic Preservation Program. Outside of UMD, I volunteer at an orphanage in Romania in the summer. Hi! My name is Jack Keane, and I am a sophomore economics major with a sustainability minor. This is my first semester on the Council, and I am honored to serve as on the At-Large Representatives. Outside of DSAC, I am actively involved in the UMD Triathlon Club and a brother of the Pre-Law Fraternity, PAD. I am very excited to be a representative of the Council this year and hope to make BSOS a place for anyone and everyone interested in the social sciences. Carla Atalla

Hi! My name is Carla Atalla and I am a senior Government and Politics major with an international relations concentration and a minor in International Development and Conflict Management. This is the second year I will be serving as an at-large representative for DSAC! Outside of DSAC, I have been working as a research assistant for the Government and Politics department, focused on understanding the relationship between students and development. I spent the past year working as an intern at the Center for Values in International Development,  and over the summer, I completed an internship with Ernst and Young as a workforce advisory intern. I am looking forward to serving on this year’s DSAC and executing the things we hope to accomplish!

Hi, my name is Raj Ukondwa and I am currently a junior majoring in Government & Politics and minoring in Law in the Society! Outside of DSAC I am the Director of Programing for the Black Pre-Law Association at UMD, Academic Resources Chair for the College Success Scholars, and am apart of Phi-Alpha-Delta a professional pre-law frat! This is my first year on the board but I am so excited to bring new and exciting ideas. Hi! My name is Yagass and I am one of the at-large representatives on DSAC. This is my first semester serving on DSAC and I honestly wish I had known about it sooner! I am a Psychology and Criminal Justice double major expected to graduate this May 2022. Some of my other interests include basketball, exercise, beauty, makeup, fashion, and all kinds of adventure. I’d definitely describe myself as someone who likes trying new things and wants to try everything in life at least once. My name is Abbey Warns and I am a senior majoring in Criminology & Criminal Justice and Government & Politics. Outside of DSAC, I work with the Undergraduate Student Legal Aid Office as a Student Advocate, hold the position of Director of National Affairs with the National Residence Hall Honorary, and I’m a Teaching Assistant for GVPT. I’m also a current member of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society, and BSOS’ Peer Mentor program. I’ve also interned with the Maryland Chamber of Commerce as a Government Affairs intern! Hi, my name is Alexa Shyama and I am a senior majoring in Psychology with a minor in Statistics. This is my first year serving on DSAC as an At-Large Representative and I'm excited to be working with students and faculty. On campus, I am involved in the University Student Judiciary, Maryland Mock Trial, and Asian-American Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. I am also a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity. In the past, I have worked with the Office of the Public Defender in Maryland, Habitat for Humanity International, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Critical Data Lab.
