Dinner for Democracy: Defining Critical Race Theory in Civic Education

Dinner for Democracy:
Defining Critical Race Theory in Civic Education

Thursday, March 10  |  5 - 7 PM | Van Munching Hall, Room 2517

Dinners for Democracy have been piloted by institutions in the Big Ten namely Turn-up Turnout at the University of Michigan. Students, with faculty guidance in partnership with Black Students in Public Policy (BSiPP) and the Civic Maryland Initiative, have curated information on critical race theory in civic education.

The event will include a presentation than a discussion facilitated by members of BSiPP. We would appreciate your opinion, knowledge, and participation as we discuss civic education mandates and how they can include race, discrimination, and oppression.
